Luxembourg - Philippines Action For Development

A brief LPAD History

In the vibrant city of Luxembourg, a group of ten individuals, comprising both Filipinos and Europeans, united with a shared vision for positive change. In January 2006, Luxembourg Philippines Action for Development (LPAD) was born as a non-stock association. What initially began as informal gatherings among friends after work soon evolved into a formidable force dedicated to making a meaningful impact.

Promoting Entrepreneurship

LPAD aims to ignite the spirit of entrepreneurship within the Philippines and the Filipino community in Luxembourg. By doing so, the organization believes in creating job opportunities and contributing to economic growth.

Elevating Lives

LPAD is dedicated to improving the lives of less fortunate families, especially those facing challenges in securing employment or establishing their ventures. The focus is on encouraging socio-economic projects, starting with support for microfinance institutions, small enterprises, and handicraft industries lacking capital.

Providing Training

LPAD recognizes the power of education in driving change. The organization is committed to giving technical training on project preparation, management, and evaluation to Filipinos in Europe, Europeans, and other migrants interested in promoting development and entrepreneurship in their respective countries.

Urgent Medical Help

Responding swiftly to the critical need for urgent medical assistance, LPAD extends its mission to provide immediate support to those in medical distress. By ensuring access to timely and essential healthcare, we aim to make a difference in the lives of individuals facing urgent medical challenges.

Educational Support

Believing in the transformative power of education, LPAD introduces a new initiative to provide educational support. Recognizing that “The pen is mightier than the sword,” this program includes sponsorship resources, and mentorship programs. By empowering individuals with knowledge and skills, LPAD aims to equip them to navigate the challenges of the world, fostering not only personal growth but also positive contributions to their communities.

Over the past 18 years, Luxembourg Philippines Action for Development has witnessed significant growth, both in terms of its members and its impact.
