Processing your grief and putting your feelings into words after the death of our friend cannot be rushed.

As President and on behalf of the board of directors of the Luxembourg-Philippines Action for Development a.s.b.l., it is my esteemed honor to bid our vice president and friend a final farewell.

JP has been a member of LPAD since 2007 until his passing. He was not only active but also held various positions, even serving as president on multiple occasions.

He was a very active man with many hobbies! He was a passionate motorcycle and bicycle rider and he also loved fishing and much more. I will always remember him carrying a black bag with pétanque balls, which he played with a group of men when we gathered in Fennange.

In fact, he took his last breaths on July 13, 2024 during our annual LPAD charity bike-ride. I believe his thoughts and spirit were with us that day. Today, we say our final ADIEU.

All who knew him in LPAD will miss his vibrant personality, dedication, and passion. From leadership to sound system and electronic duties, from grill master to driver—he could do anything! Let’s not forget that the Philippines was also his second home. He had planned to be in the Philippines this summer, but the Lord had greater plans for him, and he went back to our Creator instead.

There is a time for everything. Let me share.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-6

A Time for Everything

3:1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away.

My dear friend, JP, on behalf of the LPAD Board and Members, I would like to thank you for your friendship and unwavering dedication, enthusiasm, and love for the organization.

JP, you are gone but not forgotten. May your soul rest in eternal peace.

With my sincere condolences to his wife Dolly and his family.
